HOW TO WHITE WASH BOARDS - tutorial
HOW TO DEAL WITH DAMAGED VENEER -delftware blue & white cabinet
I definitely had some fun working with this antique washstand. And absolutely love the Delftware Pottery look I create on the face of it.
BIG LEGS ADDED TO A SIDEBOARD - woodworking
While working outside in the warmth of the summer's sun I took several photos to show how a frame would need to be built to install a set of legs on a buffet. I had imagined these big carved legs added to this cabinet, just like the picture. I had the legs in a crate in my back room but I would need to see how the cabinet was built before I knew if I could make it a reality.
ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO MAKE FURNITURE TALLER - gorgeous carved nightstands
Sometimes you can add legs to
your furniture to get more height but other times you can't. This time I had to come up with an alternative plan to get these
bedside tables taller.
MY GREEK COLUMN SOFA TABLE - build with old bed posts
What can I say about my most favorite piece of furniture. I use it every single day, and it couldn't be more me. I built it with salvaged furniture parts.
FARMHOUSE FRENCH LINEN SOFA TABLE - lavender plant

I found her road side and loved her immediately but she wasn't quite complete.

PLATE WALL DISPLAY - shabby chic style
"BUY IT WHEN YOU SEE IT BECAUSE YOU LOVE IT"
I have always found the key to
creating successful & wonderful
wall displays has always been to use
the things I love and have collected
over time. But more importantly
when I want to get to work building
a display I look for items that have
been stored out of sight and out of
mind, like these plates stacked in a
pile in the back of a cupboard.
VINTAGE FURNITURE REPAIRS - saggy drawer bottoms
I took on a furniture project recently
that turned into 8 hours of just wood
working repairs before any beautifying. I'm sharing each repair in different posts. Let's start with the first problem ....

BUILDING A SMALL SPACE WORKSTATION - gold dipped and turquoise
Do you need a dedicated work place but live in a small space with little extra room? I have built a convertible workstation for exactly that, small space living. I used thrifted items and transformed them into beautiful decor.

What can I say about my most favorite piece of furniture. I use it every single day, and it couldn't be more me. I built it with salvaged furniture parts.
BATHROOM STORAGE CABINET - repurposed glass door
One evening I spotted a salvaged glass door leaning against a hedge. I was inspired to start creating something around this lonely pane of glass.
REMOVING WATER MARKS, ADDING APPLIQUES, & CHANGING HARDWARE

TURNING A DESK INTO TWO BEDSIDE TABLES and painting them with annie sloan chalk paint
I found a solid wood desk on the road-
side the morning after we got home from vacation. It was a wonderful
WELCOME HOME!!!
I would never have found the desk if we didn't have to go back to the airport to retrieve our luggage.
HOW TO BUILD A CONSOLE TABLE - furniture recycling
This will feel like deja vu to some of you that the last post about the first gate leg table I did. I had two of them marked at $5 at our yard sale yet neither sold. I always feel bad for the stuff left behind and it some how re-invigorates me to find the time to give things a second chance.
HOW I UPHOLSTER CORNERS - foot stool video
There are plenty of upholstery tutorials on the web but I definitely still get asked how I do the corners
when I upholster. I am not professionally trained, I learned over years what works for me and what doesn't.
BUILDING A FOOT STOOL - grain sack fabric and tips

I found a new magazine at the drug store recently. For me a new magazine means shutting out the world and enjoying some quiet time in a comfy chair with my feet up.
STENCILED FOOT STOOLS - french painted graphic
What would you do with a large collection of old furniture legs? I have a huge stockpile of tapered furniture legs that continues to grow
because I didn't know what to do with them. I've run across different
projects on Pinterest but none really got me excited. Finally a magazine article changed that and I found myself consumed with an idea.
