I created a new view in our living room using a second hand clock and some inexpensive frames.

OUR WINTER LIVING ROOM - getting organized after christmas
After Christmas I prefer to work with a clean slate. The floor gets vacuumed a million times and every bit of decor gets taken down and put aside. Then I start to create the new feeling I want in our living room one piece at a time.
WINTER WHITE CABINET - adding doors to hide the tv
My last official project for 2018 was to finish this cabinet that sits in our living room.
MOTHER'S DAY HOME TOUR - joanne's livingroom
For all you shabby chic loving moms out there
I have a wonderful room tour to share with you on your special day.
Recently George and I had the opportunity to meet Joanne
and were honoured to see inside her beautiful home.
And she was kind enough to let me have my way with the camera to share with you.
I took a LOT of photos so you may be lucky enough to see more rooms down the road,
but for now I am just going to spoil you with her livingroom.
And trust me when I say,
"THE WHOLE HOUSE LOOKS AMAZING"
Joanne's has been thinking about painting the gold fire screen.
My opinion was either way looks wonderful but I thought we would get your input.
DO YOU THINK THE FIRE SCREEN SHOULD STAY GOLD OR GO WHITE?
HIDDY HO NEIGHBOR - games tables
This wonderful pair of tables were bought from the neighbor's barn sale.
One bottom self was broke but quickly repaired with new dowels and glue.
I loved the detail on the top and wanted to emphasize it with the new look.

Being able to put them together to make one round table or separately against the wall,
they are very handy just about anywhere you want to use them.
There were stained with a dark walnut and painted in a creamy white before distressing and waxing.
I really enjoyed this project
because I was able to take each table completely
apart to work on.
I think they would be great bedside tables for a spare room.
FUN WITH PHOTOGRAPHY - french coffee table
This solid maple table was painted with
10 min dry EXCEL spray paint in Oyster Grey.
It's a beautiful color and the paint provides a
remarkable hard, durable, and professional finish.
Unfortunetly it is hard to find and has a
very strong odor when first applied.
TEA ANYONE?
The view is amazing!
