REMOVING WATER MARKS, ADDING APPLIQUES, & CHANGING HARDWARE

gets a complete makeover in my house. Everything from
a new color and hardware to appliques and how to remove
white water marks from the top surface.

VINTAGE DESK in VINTAGE TURQUOISE - mixing annie sloan chalk paint

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint has a high
volume of pigment in it. One benefit
of this is the ability to dye fabric with
it. Another advantage of the strong
colors is how little of a color you need
to mix new colors. I mixed a beautiful
vintage turquoise color using Annie
Sloan paints.

FIXING DRAWERS THAT FALL DOWN - Ridgid Driver and Before & After

I've used a lot of power drivers in my time
but the one I use now has been my favorite
for years. I first saw it in the hands of an
electrician and immediately asked about it.

FIXING SPLIT WOOD PANEL - white dresser with india knobs

I felt compelled to save this dresser
when I came across it at a yard sale.
The lady who owned it had bought it
to refinish and was told the split side
panel was an easy fix. Once she got it
home she realized this was NOT A
SIMPLE FIX.

The two panels had to be leveled and lined up, glue
 applied, and clamped together.

Inside I used a couple of broken metal hinges to stabilize the
fix. The hinges are not the solution to holding the
panels together, but they will hold everything in place while
 the glue sets.

Once everything was fixed she got painted in a creamy white
ASCP, and new India bone knobs added. I found the six of
them at my local HomeSense. The plates you see behind the
knobs are antique metal pieces also painted in the same
creamy white ASCP then wet distressed.

Everything was lightly edged distressed and the three
drawers were lined with a floral black and white wallpaper.

TIN HANDLES ON SHABBY CHIC WHITE NIGHTSTANDS

Besides the 12 days of fog, the weather has been nice enough here that I have been able to spray paint some things out side. As well my friend calls just to let me know how upset he is that it's warmer in Western Canada than at his home in Central Florida. Here's hoping spring comes to everyone a bit sooner than expected.
