ANNIE SLOAN PROVENCE - painted blue tallboy

I wanted a certain look in a dresser but I had
never found one similar to what I wanted to work
on, so I took a simple flat dresser and changed the
whole look by adding to it.

BEFORE  -  DURING  -  AFTER

Old stair spindles changed the profile of the sides.

Trim molding was added on the front and side edge to bring it out a bit farther.

Heavy wood turnings were cut in half to use for the front legs.

The color is ASCP Provence with some white added to soften it a bit.

All the hardware are wonderful re-purposed vintage pieces
and instead of a false knob in the center of the top drawer
a nice metal embellishment was used to cover the hole.

The paint distressed so nicely over the original dark stain.
