Here is our motor home bedroom reveal for this summer.
I probably chose to do a Navy and White scheme because we
both like the combination and because it is very classic.
both like the combination and because it is very classic.
Our bedroom was the perfect place to hide out when we got
caught in a warm torrential summer rain storm on the Bay of
Fundy. With the windows right next to use we could watch
the storm and have the windows open because it was so
warm out. The roof of our rig is aluminum and it creates the
most awesome sound when the rain drops hit the roof.
We like to choose second hand items first and
unfortunately it takes time to find good used camping dishes.
I found these plastic goblets at a yard sale, a set of 4 for $1.
All the cabinets and walls were plastic coated, either vinyl
wallpaper or wood looking sticker. I painted it all in Annie
Sloan Chalk Paint Old White. It really does stick to everything.

Above is what the bedroom looked like when we got our rig,
and some progress photos below of how the beds were
upgraded. We tried sleeping on the original mattresses
but within an hour we both had back pain. These mattresses
were also narrow, too small for standard bedding so we
ordered new mattresses and I custom fit the platforms for
the new wider size.
She is our happy place when we are on the road.
