HOW TO REUSE OLD WINDOWS - lovely french shelf

I love to create, whether I'm
building something with wood
or setting the stage for a great
photo shoot. This time around
I custom designed a French
shelf from two vintage school
house windows.

The windows have a wire mesh inside the glass and texture
outside leaving them slightly frosted, very cool looking.

I started to build it on a different table but it ended up being
too small, so it eventually was transferred to a second larger
table. Below you can see the backing boards being installed.

Above you see the new larger table I chose. The rest of the
upper portion was built with lots of salvaged wood pieces
like scraps of trim moldings for the edge details.

I hope this has inspired you to find different ways to re-purpose your vintage windows.
