FIXING A HARP AND MIRROR - old hinges

Here is a great use for one of those old hinges we all have in the junk drawer
or filling up a jar on the garage shelf.

REPLACED HINGE                               ORIGINAL MECHANISM

This mirror's left pivoting mechanism was twisted and broken off making the mirror unusable.
While the owner is looking for a replacement part an old hinge will keep the mirror in place.
The hinge can be used vertically or horizontally but the mirror will not be able to pivot.

HAPPY FIXING

  2. When I look at your "find and fix", I have to think at how Blessed I am to have inherited a Harp with Mirror with 2 drawers that my Grandparents left. My mirror is shaped like a rectangle instead of oval, but all of it is in mint condition because it was never moved in "The Home Place". It has the black lacquer finish on it that I would never touch. It is all original and sits the my front entrance in my home greeting visitors and family members now. Thanks for sharing and giving me such sweet memories of them this morning.
