FARMHOUSE GREY SIDE TABLES - matching 2 different pieces

I want to share how I found 2 little dark brown tables, that were both different styles, and how I was able to change a few simple things on them so they could be a matching pair.

Above is a BEFORE photo of the first table,
and
Below is a photo AFTER it was painted in AS grey

STEP 1 - PAINT
The first little table served us well for several years.
Then I ran across another table that was similar but a little fancier.
I ended up buying it with the idea to pair the two together.

I painted the second table in AS grey and distressed it to
match and used two bronze pulls on the drawers.
But there were still some differences I felt I could work
with to make the two coordinate more.

STEP 2 - HEIGHT
The first table was shorter by 1.5 inches. I could either cut the
legs of the taller one or I could add to the shorter one. I chose
the latter and screwed on 4 little feet I cut from old stair balusters.

STEP 3 - DRAWERS
The fancier table had a detail on the drawer face I wanted to
copy on to the other one. I traced out the shape with paper
and pencil then transferred it onto the flat drawer face.
Using what ever tools I could find I carved out the shape.

STEP 4 - DETAIL
The fancier table also had an ornate cut detail under the
drawer. I used paper and a pencil again to copy the outline.
Then transferred that to a piece of wood to cut with my jigsaw.

I painted the new wood piece in a dark brown oil paint to
match the original finish so once painted grey the distressing
would be the same. The last thing to do was to
secure the new piece in place with screws.

STEP 5 - INSIDE
I used the last remnant of an English Clock paper
that a friend gave me to line the drawers.
