VANCOUVER TO DRUMHELLER RV TRIP - the first 3 days

We went to see the dinosaurs in Alberta and we had a nephew join us on the trip in our RV.

There were lots of morning visits to Tim Hortons.
Which is our nation wide #1 breakfast restaurant.

Our first visit was to RJ Haney Heritage Village &
Museum in Salmon Arm BC.

That evening we camped in the same town at
Hidden Valley Campground and I relaxed in the creek.

The next day we stopped at a diner in Golden BC for lunch.
We had already crossed the time change border from BC to
Alberta and lost an hour to our day so we thought it doesn't
matter now if we add an extra hour for lunch, does it?.
That afternoon we drove all the way to Drumheller to enjoy
the hot evening with some wading & rock throwing in
the Red Deer River next to our campground called Rivergrove

The following day would be our big one at the
The museum is amazing, it took about an hour to go through
and we didn't see everything. GG is still talking about it and
 wants to go back.

Outside in the Badlands we got to experience a fossil dig on
one of the hottest days of the year. Our guide carried a large
spray bottle. I had noticed it and wondered what it was for.
She took us out behind a small building and lined us up in the
shade. She lifted the spray bottle and began mist us as she
walked down the line of 15 people. At that moment I knew she
was heaven sent, it was so hot out and this was so refreshing.
The heat kept rising and they have rules about not keeping
people out on the digs too long so we had to finish our fossil
experience indoors but it was all great. Inside we got to
touch a real dinosaur fossil in the back of the museum.

The day was so hot we spent the whole evening
fooling around & floating on the river.

Our 2 nights in Drumheller were so hot the neighboring RV had their AC unit running all night long. It was time for us to go and enjoy the rocky mountains again and hopefully cool off.
