CHRISTMAS DECOR 2014 - decorating with burlap

This is day two of the Christmas décor for 2014 and it's all about
our Christmas tree. I hope you enjoy looking around our cozy home for the holidays.

Our tree is a small artificial frosted blue spruce. We bought it
for our second Christmas together and have loved it ever
since. This year I have wrapped it with a natural jute
garland and decked it out with a new string of Martha
Steward Star lights. There is also two small light strings with
some white mesh under the tree giving it that amazing glow.

I was going to make one of these burlap gift sacks until I
found this one at Home Sense for only $5.99. I thought that
was a great price considering how much time it would take
to make. I quickly learned why the price was so low, it needed
to be aired out on the porch. They are made in India and I
assume they got a little musty smelling somewhere on their
journey, but it's good now.

My daughter's birthday is right after Christmas, so there is always a few presents left under the tree that are wrapped in birthday paper instead of for Christmas day.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU!
