ADDING LEGS TO A CORNER CABINET

Once upon a time I used living room side table legs to make a short corner shelf much taller.
On the left you can see the outline of the original piece in amongst the details I added.

The two curvy pieces on the top are
from a mid century arm chair.

The ornate detail at the top middle is a vintage metal mirror
corner, drilled and nailed in place. The whole cabinet inside
and out was painted in ASCP Old White then light edge
distressing all over.

Now let's get to those legs ...

I made the cabinet taller with 3 legs stolen from a
roadside table. These legs are very common on inexpensive
living room side tables but hard to use when adding to
typical furniture. I attached them on the outside with 3 inch
screws driven from inside the cabinet. I capped the legs off
a short turning and a pineapple curtain finial. The back leg
was also attached outside on the back with screws driven
from inside.

I hope this can inspire you to create something with different
pieces of furniture for your own home, and one way to use
those easy to find side table legs.
