VINTAGE WHITE CHENILLE - reupholstered french chair





Earlier I showed the *BEFORE* of a little french chair I had been working on. It is now finished and ready to show off.







The inspiration for this piece started on vacation in Florida.
We found a gorgeous little shop in St. Petersburg called
The shop is filled with distressed shabby chic furniture,
linens, pillows, chandeliers, and a lot more eye candy.
The first thing GG did once inside was approach the shop keepers and jokingly said "I'll be back in a couple hours to
 pick her up" He then continued chatting and joking with
 them as usual while I ran around seeing everything I could.
I just adored the chenille upholstered furniture they had.
  


First chance I got I created a little something of my own.
The fabric I used is vintage however it was upholstery weight.
I salvaged some sofa cushions that had been covered in this
 material years ago. Once washed it was perfect for the job.

I added a single button to the back and distressed the paint finish to give the feel that it is truly an old piece. I waxed and polished the frame until it was shiny smooth






I edged the seat with bright white trim,
