Well someone did it!
This pine sleigh bed had been stabbed, beaten, and even
burned and most thought it was a gonner, except
someone who knew what I do.
Once we picked up the bedframe it was quickly apparent the
damage was even worse then the photos showed. There were
several gaping holes thru both the headboard and footboard.
There were many deeply carved chucks missing on most of
the edges, but it was still solid wood and standing on all 4 legs.
I wasn't sure what I was going to do or even where to start,
but as always it just happens suddenly. The ideas flow and
the jazz starts and before I knew it the bed was reborn.
I had a large roll of brown vinyl left over from another
I tufted the headboard and did a padded vinyl on the footboard.
Some of the other items used to finish this project were wood
trim pieces, staples, foam batting, and an arsenal of tools.
