DRESSING UP SHELVING - tall white display shelf

Solid wood shelves are hard to find these days.
If I do find one I grab it no matter what it might
be missing because adding to a shelving unit is
a lot of fun for me.

BEFORE    -    DURING    -    AFTER

As you can see in the before photo this shelf was missing something, or a few things maybe.

The front edges of the cabinet were embellished with fancy trim I have collected from many furniture
pieces. The only original parts are the small detailed molding on the horizontal shelf edges.
It all works together once painted.

The back was covered in vertical bead board and the fancy pieces used
on the very top and the bottom kick are old dresser parts.

The corner pieces are from the Habitat RESTORE but you can find them at most lumber stores.

I used Annie Sloan paint and wax to finish the shelf off and
I have a short waxing video available to watch here:

Give it a try yourself,
you are only limited by your imagination.
