LIKE GUTTING A FISH - midcentury turntable radio cabinet

The excitement I felt when I saw the potential
in this discarded mid-century
turn table / radio cabinet was challenged
when it came time to tackle the insides.

Knuckles were bruised and patience ran thin
but in the end everyone who was at the
finish line final saw what I had original
been so enamored by in the first place.

The perfect entry piece for our home.

  2. Wow. You did a super job. I don't think I'd have the patience for that. I do love red. What a bold statement it will make in an entryway. Did she take the mirror as well?

  5. First of all I had to check twice to make sure I was reading your blog, well, because it's red lol . Then I had to go back and forth a couple of times between the before pic and the after pic, saying things like, that can't be the same piece, no way, how did she do that. Then I remembered who's blog I was reading, and I remember, she can do anything that girl . I love how you can look at a piece and see that kind of potential, well beyond just painting it , you recreate it. I have said it before and I will say it again, Kristy you are amazing, that's why you are my mentor. hugs Tobey
